Hi Bill, Thank you for your inquiry. Microwave trim kits are easy to remove and to install. Before you start, be sure to unplug the microwave. With both hands push the microwave back into the opening as far back as you can go and then remove the screws on the inside of the opening. They may be in each corner or evenly spaced along a lip at the top or bottom of the opening. If the screws are not there, they may be under a lip on the outside frame or they may be behind small plugs on the outside frame in each corner under a lip. You will need to use a putty knife to remove the plugs and expose the screws. Once the screws have been removed use a screw driver and insert it behind the bottom trim piece to pry it out just a bit and then do the same to the top. Once both the top and the bottom trim pieces are lose, use both hands to pull the trim kit off. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
