Thanks for your question. The part number WE19M1490 is indeed the part number for the control panel, also known as the backsplash, and is compatible with both the 175d5558 number and your model.
I hope this helps.

The start switch keeps coming loose the mechanism inside fall off and the knob comes off. I’ve taken the back off and reinserted it but it stays for a few days but gets loose and falls off. What do i need
For model number DBXR463EG7WW

Hello Jim,
Thank you for your question. If the start switch itself is not able to stay attached because of a broken piece off of the switch, you would need to replace the switch under part WE4M519 for your model. Hope this helps!

Do i need the D-shaped knob insert clip. Part number: Ps267091. The knob fits tight when i reinsert it. This is a follow up to my previous question today
For model number DBXR463EG7WW

Hi Jim, thank you for your question. Yes, that part actually mostly acts as a sort of barrier between the switch and the knob so that the inner plastic part of your knob does not wear down from the inside with the continued use of the knob. However in your particular case you do not need to worry about it too much. Both knobs actually already come with that D shaped insert in place. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Bad rotary switch and backsplash
Shut off the Electric at the breaker panel. With a Philips head screw driver took off the metal plate, and slide the backsplash out of its holders. Twisted the three switches, twisting to the left to remove them and replace the back splash, controller, timer switch and installed the new rotary switch with a right twist. There are three wires on the rotary switch, just follow the line of the old switch. Replaced the back metal panel, and turn on the breaker. Replacement takes about 30 minutes along with putting the dryer back in place.

brand new and arrived early! no problem installing it!

It was a snap!
This was an easy repair. The underneath side of the plastic molded backsplash has prongs and slots that hold the starter switch, temperature selector, and cycle selector in place. One of the prongs for the starter switch had broken off so replacing the backsplash was the only solution. All you have to do is remove the outside knobs, then (with appliance unplugged from power source) unseat the controls by rotating them CCW, then re-
attach to new part. Lacking confidence and having a little difficulty removing the cycle selector knob (I feared breaking something if I used too much force) I decided to call for help. It did not take long to reach a knowledgeable tech guy. He asked for my model # and very quickly we were on the same page. After a short conversation I was able to complete the repair quickly and easily.
