Turntable motor
Well, the turntable motor for my microwave was very easy to remove and replace with a new one. The problem though was still not solved. The turntable still does not work. I will use the microwave without the turntable.

My turntable quit working
I replaced the turntable motor and coupler. It did not fix the problem. Not sure where to go from here. Looks like the next step involves parts that are as expensive as a new microwave.

Turntable wouldn't turn
Followed instructions on You Tube. I had an over the stove model. First I unplugged the electric cord, removed screws from bottom of microwave, removed the 1screw on motor, disconnected the electric wires which just pop off as a unit and replaced the motor and put bottom back on. Easy instructions on You Tube

Microwave making really loud noises when operating
This is the second time I've had this problem-once while it was still under warranty and now this time. Quite annoying noise but super easy to fix (just remember to unplug the appliance first!). I used the flashlight to help find the screws as my microwave is installed over the range.
My vent motor has also gone out...maybe I'll tackle that next!

Turntable not turning.. replaced motor still not working.. tried motor in another microwave and it works even the one i thought bad.. checked voltage to motor, getting a reading but maybe not 21volts.. what else could i check for?
For model number JVM187OSKO4
Hello Dave, thank you for inquiring. You will want to consider either the Glass Turntable Coupler, part number PS227859, or the Roller Guide, part number PS227717 for your model as the cause. Good luck with your repair!
