Set washer, close...nothing happens. it should turn on. have to open and close several times to come on. also, leaves water in the bottom after wash. what should i do to remedy?
For model number PDW9280N00SS
Hi Mark, Thank you for your question. If you are shutting and closing the door a couple of times to get the dishwasher to work, it sounds like you are having an issue with the door latch and switch assembly. Before testing this part, unplug it from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. First, verify that the door catch activates the door latch switches by inserting the catch into the assembly. If the switches are being activated mechanically, remove the switches to check them for continuity. Using a multimeter on Rx1, touch the probes to the switch’s terminals. This should produce a reading of zero or nearly zero. If you receive a different reading, you will need a replacement door latch assembly. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Lower rack began rusting and wheels broke off.
Pull old rack out, slip new one in!
One thing i did was order wheels and studs as i was unaware they lower rack came fully equiped with all wheels, studs, and flip up dish dividers. So if your replacing the rack no need to order the wheels! The diagram made it look as if you only et the wire rack and not all the added pieces.

Top and bottom rack were rusted thru
Bottom rack - slide the old one out, slide the new one in. The rack came came with the wheels, so I didn't use the replacement ones.
Top rack - remove the rail end caps - they will likely break so order new ones. Slide the rack out. Remove the rotating spray arm and then remove all the brackets. I was able to re-use the old brackets and didn't need the replacements. Install the old brackets on the new rack, install the spray arm, and slide the new rack back into the rails. The new top rack also came with wheels installed, so I didn't use the replacement ones. Once the rack is back in the rails, install new rail end caps. Put them in sideways and facing into the washer. Straighten the caps and turn them into place. Be careful with the rail caps - they break easy and are expensive. Make sure they hold the top rack in place, and that's it.

Lower rack on my dishwasher had rusted out, due to use, wear and tear, normal use
I took out the old rack and put in the new rack. Took about 20 seconds tops. But I had thought I needed to order the wheels (8 of them) and the wheel attachments (8 of those, too) separately because when you go to order the rack, it is suggested that you buy those, too. But the rack came with all the parts I needed so I ended up returning the stud rollers. Very happy with the product and the friendly service.

The wire cage began rusting
The bottom rack just pulls out so that was an easy replacement. The upper rack required a 1/4" nutdriver to remove the sprayer from the rack and a slot screwdriver was used to remove the tab that was holding the rack to the slide arm. Total time, 10 minutes tops!

Replacing rusted dishwasher racks
Lower assembly only require removal and replacement without tools. Upper assembly required screw driver and pliers to install water wand from old rack to new rack.

The most surprising aspect of this repair was the short 36 hours that it took from order placement to product receipt.

Wire basket rusting.
The Lower Rack was a simple swap. The Upper Rack had a tube and rotating sprayer that had to be removed and installed on the new rack. I used a nutdriver to remove a few screws and reinstall them on the new unit. Very simple.
