The piece broke upon that movement to slid the unit to the left. The replacement part I ordered fixed the need to even have it if you removed the Philips screw and placed it back into the new metal area for it to go back onto the top of the microwave.
I unplugged the microwave to be safe. Climbed on a small step stool and slid the broken unit that kept sagging without that plastic hook holding the filter in. How many filters does this over the range microwave oven has ?
