Unit does not shut off and will run for days .
For model number adel70lrl2
Hi Frank,
Thank you for your question. According to the GE website, if the bucket is full or if the air has reached the desired set point and the dehumidifier has not shut off, disconnect the power to it for 30 seconds to see if this will reset it. If the fan is still running, see if the dehumidfier is set to continuous mode. When not in this mode, the compressor will turn off once it reaches the set relative humidity level and the fan will shut off approximately 3 minutes after the compressor cycles off. If it does not turn off, check the coils for frost as this will cause the fan to stay on and the compressor to remain off until the coils are defrosted. If the air filter is dirty it will need to cleaned or replaced. Consult your owners manual for information on how to clean it. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
