This turntable motor is for microwaves.
The turntable motor rotates the glass tray inside the microwave oven.
Because high-voltage capacitors in a microwave can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged, a service technician should install this part.

How long will it take to replace the microwave turntable motor in the above model?
For model number JVM1630WK01
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. Replacing the turntable motor only takes a few minutes. Before beginning this repair, unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet. Then open the microwave door and remove the glass cooking tray and the roller guide. Then remove the screws securing the bottom panel of the microwave. Then lower the bottom panel and disconnect the wire harness connected to the light bulbs and set the bottom panel aside. Then remove the wire harness connected to the turntable motor. Take note of how the wire harness is connected to the turntable motor. Then use a Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the motor to the microwave. Once the screws have been removed, pull the motor out. Then align the shaft on the new motor, so you can insert into the coupler inside the microwave. Once properly aligned, secure the motor with the screws, and reattach the wire harness to it. Then set the bottom panel on the frame of the microwave and reattach the wire harness for the lights. Secure the bottom panel with the screws and place the roller guide and the glass tray back in the microwave. Restore power to the microwave and it should now work for you. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
