I ordered this replacement ice maker for my Kenmore but it's not filling with water right after installing it. Did we do something wrong? You never gave us instructions but found it on youtube

Hello Claudette, Thank you for the question. It can take about 24 hours for the ice maker to cycle and start to make ice. For more information we will require the appliance model number. Once you have located the model number please feel free to resubmit the question and we will be happy to help you. Look forward to hearing from you!

Ice maker will not work. Do i need to replace it?
For model number FFHB2750TD0

Hi Lauren, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue. Good luck with your repair.

Hi, i bought a Kenmore refrigerator model 253.7034341g. In the pass year they have been out 3 times to repair ice maker. First the ice maker quit working after replacing the water filter the repair man showed me how to defrost piece of using warm water. The next time they came out and the cube tray was defective, so they replaced. The last time they said i needed to fix the foil foam part. Now when i try to use ice maker it leaks water, which freezes under the ice hold and spills out of the refrigerator. Please help. This unit is just over 1 year old and out of warranty. Thank you in advance for your help.

Our ice maker stopped making ice? The water dispenser works and when you push for ice, it make the noises of dispensing ice - but there is no water dispensing to fill the tray to make ice. I feel like it should be a sensor or part#2 in the diagram, but could you direct me please? Many thanks. Rebecca

Ice maker was not working
Simple three steps... 1) There's an front section to the ice-maker to take off. One Phillips screw is on the side, one screw is underneath near the inside of the refrigerator wall. Just unscrew and store. 2) There's a small plastic unit just inside the ice maker to take out. It's held in by a small nut that requires about a 4" extension to reach. (You may be able to unscrew the nut with small needle-nose pliers). Just unscrew and take out the unit - the unit functions just to keep the ice maker wiring in place. 3) The wiring looks a mess, but there's just one wiring connector to the ice maker assembly. Unsnap it. The ice maker is not screwed in, it just slides in -- reach in and pull the assembly straight out; when it stops, lower it a bit and it will come free. Reverse the instructions to install the new unit.

There is no power, due to the COVID-19 pandemic there no Tech support available,
My repair plan is to continue buying parts for it until is starts working. I notices a large rusty stain on the back of the refrigerator, so I replaced the Ice Maker. Then, I replaced the Evaporator Motor. Yet nothing will come on.
I called Conn's Home Plus where I bought the Frigidaire Refigerator back in February 2014. The Tech said that It needs a Board-main Power (computer part). So I it ordered from PartSelect. It is due here by July 20, 2020. The Parts and Tech cost is now over Five Hundred ($500) dollars.
HELP!! I need INSTRUCTIONS, HELP!!!

Ice maker not making ice.
Unscrew a few screws and remove some plastic covers to access the ice cube tray. Undue two wire connections and remove the tray. Put in the new unit in reverse order. I heard it may take awhile for the new ice maker to start doing anything. Mine didn't do anything for 6 hours, then made it's first batch. Making ice fine now ever since.

worked great
The part works very well
Arletta Jolene A - December 7, 2020

Great value
Great value for what repairman quoted me. Only thing was this part didn't have the same wiring harness trench on the correct side to zip the it on but I used old frame and put in new icemaker into it. Worked great. I would have given 5 stars except for harness trench on wrong side.

You Can Do It Too!
Part was easy to install with some minor modifications. I would recommend the homeowner use genuine OEM parts supplied by this fine vendor.
William N - November 6, 2020

worked fine
part was well packaged .as the fridge was already apart it was only a 15min install.
only minor problem the wire harness on the original was clipped and tied alone the top of the maker. with the replacement there was no way to do that. but it did fit just fine if you run the harness on the underside of the unit , there was a nice groove on the right side keeps it nice and out of the way

easy repair
Can learn anything on U tube --undo 3 screws disconnect two, electrical connections, slide the old out and reverse the process and we have ice again. Very easy.

Hello David,
Thank you for leaving a review on the part ordered. I have sent you an email in regards to the order and how to return for a refund. Hope to hear from you!
Dan K - May 9, 2019

Part worked as expected
No problems with repair. Original plastic ice container cracked so water was leaking into the ice bucket with partially frozen ice cubes. Pitt fall is that you can't replace just the plastic container. Have to order the whole unit. A bit pricey for a poorly designed ice maker.
