I recently broke the lock on my washer and the door will not close. Do i need to replace the inner part of the door or just the door latch?

Hello Patricia, Thank you for writing. We have researched the model you have provided and have found
the part you are looking for Washer Door Latch PartSelect Number PS12711558. You will only need to replace the Inner-Door PartSelect Number PS12711675 section of the door if it is broken as well. With the door opened, remove metal ring and spring holding gasket in place. Next, unscrew the latch to remove the Harness. Lastly, install the new latch and re assemble it. We hope this helps.
How to test if the door latch w11316250 is defective, can you use a multimeter to check for continuity. Latch clicks 4 or 5 times before you get the door latch error codes f5 e2 or e3. latch will lock but not show locked on the panel. Unlocks when you turn off and restart the washer but won't start the cycle. Flashes code again

Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. Use a Multimeter probe to touch one of the terminals and the other probe to touch the second terminal. Actuate the switch. If the meter reading shows zero ohms of resistance. The switch has continuity and is good. We hope this helps!

Door lock inner plastic finger is broken, what replacement part is required and how do I replace it. Request was denied by Lowes, so I will need to do the work.
