Would not spin
Took 4 screws out of back of control panel. Tested old capacitor. Installed new one. Put back on tested spin cycle everything is doing great

What is the function of this part. My washer fills but the motor does not agitate or spin. It does drain after about 15 minutes or so. Could replacing this part solve the problem?

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. Washing machines use starter capacitors to start the motor by increasing the torque for a few moments. Once the motor is running, the capacitor disconnects, allowing the washer to start and stop as necessary through the cycle. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

THE WASHER TURNS ON BUT NO WATER AND IT DOESN'T RUN NOTHING COMES AT ALL IT JUST SHOWS THAT IT FILLS

If the drain hose is clear, then you may have a defective drain pump, part number PS12723115. It removes water from the washer during the drain portion of the cycle. Recently I replaced all the 4 supporters of the machine tub because when dry it was hitting on the sides.
I checked the capacitor, and it does not show any number and does not hold any power at all. I turn on the machine connected to power but the only thing I heard is the water pump working but nothing else works

water continuous runs unless i cut off water?
