This 8-cube ice maker is used to create ice for your refrigerator. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and will freeze until ice cubes are formed. Once the water has been frozen the cubes will be ejected from the mold in to the ice bucket. The ice maker will continue the process until the ice bucket has reached the limit. If your ice maker is not making ice you may need to replace this part. Please remember to disconnect the power and water supply before starting your repair. This ice maker is a genuine OEM part.

Ice maker doesn’t make ice and is dry.No water at all.Plus one side of the rail that dumps the ice is up and the other one is down. The water dispenser still dispenses water for drinking at the door.I don’t here the ice maker even try to make ice.I can see that there is water in the tube at the top where it goes into the ice maker on the back side of the refrigerator.Do i have a two part problem ,ice maker and valve? Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.
For model number FFHS2322MSFA
Hello David, Thank you for the question. I suggest filling the ice maker with a glass of water. If the ice maker does not kick in and make ice, the ice maker will need to be replaced. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Water dispenser works but no water to ice maker
For model number FFHS2611LBJ
Hello Bob, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the water valve first to see if the port that feeds the icemaker has failed. Here is a link with instructions on testing the valve. https://www.partselect.com/Refrigerator+test-water-valve+repair.htm. If that part is fine, the icemaker would need to be replaced. I hope this helps.

My ice maker will not make ice. When i put the lever down it does not even attempt to move up. There is no water or ice in the tray. Do i need to replace the entire ice maker? Thanks!
For model number FGUS2642LF2
Hi Jay,
Thank you for your question. If your ice maker is not making ice, There are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the water fill tubes, the water inlet valve, the water filter and the ice maker. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The ice maker leaks and causing ice cycles to form inside the ice bin. It also makes loud clicking sounds during the harvesting cycle. Don't need a water control valve or an ice maker assembly.
For model number FFHS2311PF6A
Hi Donnie,
Thank you for your question. If the ice maker is leaking the issue may be the water inlet valve and you will need to check to see if it is working correctly. You can check the valve with a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

How long is the warranty on the ice maker? I replaced it less than 2 years ago, it was making a weird knocking noise every so often, and now it's just quit. I don't want to be replacing it every couple years.

My previous ice maker made a ton of noise and stopped making ice
It was as simple as removing two hex head screws to remove the old ice maker, then aligning the new ice maker (ensuring the downspout from the water supply was directed into the opening designated for it) and then screwing the two screws back into place. The most difficult part is the space that you have to work with. It was a little difficult and frustrating, but put in place, an hour later we had ice and it's worked great since!

Replacement for ours that broke one month after purchasing our new refrigerator.
Only reason I am giving it a 4 star rating is because it’s too soon to tell. My husband installed it easily and it started making ice. So happy to have a working ice maker again.

Very easy to install ice maker, great customer service
The ice maker fit and was easy to install. PartSelect uses FedEx ground and it takes about a week to the East Coast with standard shipping. This was a replacement for one I previously bought from PartSelect and was guaranteed a year. The way the guarantee works is that I purchased a new ice maker at today's price and sent the broken one back to be credited for the original price I paid. FedEx lost it but Pierre at PartSelect credited my account anyway.

Quick and Simple
The icemaker on my 10-year old refrigerator finally gave up the ghost. I looked on Part Select with the model number found on the inside of the refrigerator, and found that a replacement icemaker was available to fit the model of refrigerator I had. I ordered one, and in less than a week it arrived.
Two machine screws later, the old one was off. The new one fit perfectly - although I did have to take it off once to make sure the water line was tucked into the top of the icemaker. After reconnecting the power and the water line at the wall, off it went. It filled immediately, and shortly after that I had ice.
A couple weeks later, everything is still working perfectly. DIY is so satisfying, and costs a LOT less than having a service tech fix the exact same problem with a part ordered from Part Select.

Works Great!
It works great! Before I installed it, I pried the front cover off with a flat tip screwdriver in the side slot., Adjusted the screw to make more ice, sooner (turn screw out). I use a lot of ice. Then replaced the cover (snaps on) I also removed the metal "L" shape piece from the old ice maker, and installed it on the new one, so that I could adjust it to make the ice maker level. Then I reconnected the wiring plug, reinstalled the two 1/4" screws (used a wrench with an extension), that holds the ice maker to the freezer, adjusted the "L" shape metal to make the ice tray level, and tightened the 1/4" screw. Lowered the metal rod (that you would raise, to stop making ice), and it's been making ice ever since. Thank You!
