The ice maker leaks and causing ice cycles to form inside the ice bin. It also makes loud clicking sounds during the harvesting cycle. Don't need a water control valve or an ice maker assembly.

Hi Donnie, Thank you for your question. If the ice maker is leaking the issue may be the water inlet valve and you will need to check to see if it is working correctly. You can check the valve with a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Question:

My ice maker will not make ice. The dispenser still works. Ice is in the tray but it will not dump. So i dumped the ice but the ice maker does not request the water to fill the tray with. I have already replaced the water control valve in the back. Can you tell me which part or parts i need to fix this issue? Thanks

Answer:

Hi Clint, thank you for your question. If after changing your valve the ice maker still is not making ice for you, then you will have to check your ice maker to see if that part is working correctly. In most cases it is either the valve or the ice maker that is the issue. If your ice maker is fine though, then you may have to look at your control board being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
