On 3/22/18 i had the light in our refrig. /freezer replaced. The unit is only 2&1/12 years old. Now the light is out again. Do you suppose this is a problem with the led light or something else. The cost of the new light is expensive and not easily replaced. Thanks.

Hi Peter, thank you for your question. If nothing else is malfunctioning in your appliance, then it is likely that it is just the LED lights that are the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Kitchen Aid Side-by-side refrigerator, Model KRSC500ESS01: the LED light on the ceiling of the freezer compartment is burnt out and needs to be replaced. Your Part #PS12349553 (#12 on exploded diagram of Freezer Liner Parts; same part as #22 on exploded diagram of Refrigerator Liner Parts). My questions are: (1) How to remove the old burnt-out LED. In the freezer compartment, the LED is very close to the Air Duct (#3 on the exploded diagram of the Air Flow Parts) so there's no access on the side towards the Air Duct, and there's very little space between the other side of the LED and the edge of the liner. And (2) Is a special tool needed? Thanks

Hello Robert, thank you for your question. While we do not have a video to access, one of the previous customers commented to say " just unplugged the old light and removed three wire harnesses. Then installed the new light by reconnecting those three wire harnesses" . We hope this helps.

The main light in fridge short circuited and the LED lamps would not come on
Literally just unplugged the old light and removed three wire harnesses. Then installed the new light by reconnecting those three wire harnesses
