My Whirlpool washer shakes violently while spinning. Could the suspension rods need replacing if none are broken?
For model number WTW5000DW2
Hello Timothy, Thank you for your inquiry. There may be other damage to them, so we would recommend replacing them. We would also recommend checking the tub wear pads, the drive hub and the drive pulley. Also make sure that the leveling legs are evenly balanced and that the washer load is balanced and not overloaded. Hope this helps.
The drum in the washer seems loose. It can be rocked from side to side and makes the washer squeak when in use. This just happened very suddenly. Guessing the problem is with something dealing with suspension?
For model number WTW5000DW1
Hello Toni, Thank you for the question. It is most likely a broken Suspension Rod, PartSelect Number PS12347546. I suggest checking the rods for damage. Hope this helps!

So I replaced the suspension rods but the machine still shakes extremely violent like. What else can be a factor in this situation? You guys are amazing and have helped out a lot
For model number MVWX655DW1
Hi Jonal,
Thank you for your question. If you have replaced the suspension rods and the washer is still shaking, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will also need to check the the suspension rod supports, the drive belt, the drive hub kit, the washer drive pulley and the lid bumper. You will find the information on how to test these parts under Free Repair Help and Instant Repairman on our website. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Can I order just one support
For model number MVWC565FW1
Hello Brennin, Thank you for the question. Since it is recommended all of the Suspension Rods be replaced together, they are only sold as a kit and not individually. We hope this helps!

What is the length of the suspension rod. Is the length important to match???? do springs and rod have to be lubricated. what oil is recommended.
For model number wtw5000dw
Hello Gerhard, thank you for inquiring. Based on the model number for your washer, this is the correct replacement Suspension for it. It includes four and they are approximately 22.5" long. For the rest of the information about lubrication, you will need to reach out to Whirlpool directly. Please feel free to get back in touch with us if you need to. Thank you.

Washer wobble during spin cycle.
Watched a video to get a general idea. Moved washer to garage. Raised lid, supported with s-hook and light chain. Front springs were easy, except no hole for the rod to hang in so used chain and small screwdriver through mounting hole. Back springs were not as easy. Finally removed the back panel to get to the rods. Bingo, much easier and only took 5 min to remove the back panel. reassemble and she works like a charm. Suggest to find a video reflecting your particular brand and model as all are similar but uniquely different. Easy project though.

Replacing shock absorbers on Maytag washer
Used video provided, but while reinstalling shocks pull the shock absorbers thru holes in washer deck using a stiff wire or a metal coat hanger will also work. This made installation so much easier!

Fairly easy to install
I have replaced the gears top and bottom on the tub. I replaced the 4 stabilizers, but still the tub vibrates like crazy when on the spin cycle. I don’t know what else to do.
