no heat, but still tumbling
Good thing my husband is so handy. This part was very difficult to get to. Basically, he had to take apart almost the whole dryer. There is no access door so the side panel had to be removed, but before you could do that the front panel and door had to come off, then the top of the dryer. Keep track of the screws, we had a few leftover!

Igniter burnt out
The bracket on the part supplied was different than the original. The wire connector was also different. The bracket had to be drilled for a hole to match the original. The connector had to be cut off and the wires soldered together, then tied off to the frame to keep them away from the flame. The repair works like new but not the simple

The dryer drum turned ok, but the gas heat did not start.
First I found and watched three videos on how to open the dryer and replace the igniter. Then I opened the dryer, but I did not remove the belt as suggested in the video, and then I removed the ignitor and flame detecter as the videos had shown. I got on-line and ordered the new parts from PartsSelect in the afternoon and had t

Gas dryer was not getting hot and smelled like gas inside drum
Removed lower front panel and then front including door (need to remove the top to access screws.) Replaced both the ingiter and heat detector. The tricky part was getting access to the long tunnel-like bracket that houses the igniter. Washer and Dryer are in a tight cutout space in very small laundry room.

For model number HTX21GASK0WW
Hi Mar,
Thank you for your question. If there is a gas smell coming from your dryer when you turn it on and the dryer is not getting hot, the igniter is not working correctly and it will need to be replaced. The part number listed under your model number for the igniter is PS12342916. If you would like to place an order for it, you may order it either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Would not start. Replaced rotary starter switch, got the humming sound but would not ignite. Drum would not turn. What do I need to replace now? Please show video.
For model number DBL333GB6WW
Hello Reevance, Thank you for the question. If the appliance powers on but the drum will not turn and heat will not come on, we suggest testing the Door Switch. When defective it can not tell the controls when the door is closed and its safe to start the tumble and ignite. We do not have a video for the switch sorry. When the door is closed it completes the circuit to the Gray wire on the N.O. Contact. You can temporarily jumper and tape these together to test to see if the switch is defective. We hope this helps!
Hello Kimberly, thank you for the question. This problem can arise due to a faulty gas valve. You may need to replace the valve and burner assembly, part number PS12743312. The gas valve doesn't come separately. We hope this helps.
Can the ignighter have resistance (217.3 ohms) and still not work? Dryer turns on, drum turns, faint propane smell, clothes don’t dry.
For model number GTD75GCSL0WS
Hi Kristin, thank you for your question. We have researched your model and found that the issue is probably with the Igniter, part number PS12342916. If that does not take care of the issue, then the problem is most likely to be related to the Inlet Control Thermostat, part number PS1766014. If you need help placing an order for it, please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
