The ice maker is running but is not making ice and the control panel will not come on

Ice Maker will not make Ice. The Nugget ice machine will turn on for a short time, clean filter warning comes on. (filter as well as machine is new) Water slowly enters the ice compartment and the water is tap water temp.
I installed a GE pump in the machine and It won't activate and pump water out of the ice reservoir.
Im thinkingI need a new control panel however due to the cost I need to get the correct part and be certain it will fix the problem.

Hi Donny, thank you for the question. Ensure that the water reservoir is filled up to the marked line. If it is too low, the machine will not produce ice. The drain plug needs to be tightly closed. If it is open even slightly, water might not remain in the reservoir long enough to be frozen. The room temperature might affect ice production. If the room is too warm, the ice maker might have difficulty freezing water. Ideally, the surrounding temperature should be below 90°F (32°C). Some modern appliances can face software glitches. Try unplugging it, consider keeping it unplugged for a longer period, say, 10-15 minutes, then plugging it back in. If this does not help, we would recommend replacing the main board assembly, part number PS12172924. We hope this sorts out your problem!
