Our freezer section iced up. Took panel off to expose ice on back wall of freezer; when i dialed fridge and freezer controls to zero to defrost, freezer fan continued to run. I unplugged unit and defrosted. I have plugged back in and allowed freezer and fridge to cool. Water in container in freezer is frozen. Fridge temp is 41f. The fan runs continuously, which does not seem proper. Advice?
For model number GSL25QGPDBS

Hello Joe, thank you for contacting us. That sounds like it would be the temperature sensor. The sensor sends the temperature reading of the refrigerator towards the control board. If your refrigerator or freezer runs too long, is too warm, will not defrost, or has sections that are too cold, replacing this part is the solution. Hope this helps!

For model number PSS26GRB

Hi Kris,
Sorry to hear the display is not working. It sounds like it may be the control board of the touchpad. To verify what part is causing the issue you can use an Ohms/Multi Meter to check the continuity of the parts. I hope this helps. Have a great day!

We are wondering if this would solve our problem. Our refrigerator works fine, but it has a clicking/snapping noise that isn't constant. It will sometimes click/snap, intermittently, for 2-3 hours......stop for a few hours....then start up again, for a few min or hours. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. Even though it isn't a loud sound, we have two little schnauzers that are terrified of it and it is making life very stressful for them & us. Do you have any idea what it might be?I appreciate your help. Thank-you.
For model number GSH25JSXBSS

Hi Bev, Thank you for the question. The Electronic Board is known to make a clicking noise when it is becoming defective and needs to be replaced. I recommend replacing the board. Good luck with dogs and the repair!

Freezer cools, fridge doesn’t. I replaced Master bored. Same problem persists. What could it be?
For model number PDS22MBSBCC

Hi Sherman, Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing the Temperature Sensor,Part Number: WR55X10025. Both the freezer and fridge side has its own sensor and may explain why one side works and the other does not.The sensor sends the temperature reading of the refrigerator towards the control board. Hope this helps!

The refrigerator dispenses ice cubes, nothing else in the dispensing unit works. I replaced the touch pad circuit board, but that was not it. When you push the other pads there is nothing, the cube button lights but the other controls don’t light. Could the main board be bad?
For model number GSH25KGMBBB

Hi Paul, Thank you for the question. Yes, if the board in the dispenser did not fix the issue, the next likley part is the control board on the back of the appliance. Good luck with the repair!

If the fridge is still warm, and the board has been replaced I would suggest checking the Temperature Sensor Part Number: WR55X10025, Evaporator Fan Motor Part Number: WR60X10185, as well as the Defrost Heater and Bracket Assembly Part Number: WR51X10055. I hope this helps!

The refrigerator made continous "whooing" sounds that increased and decreased in pitch. Sounded like a ghost. Would keep us up at night. Also noticed that the heater was not heating under the evaporator coils.
After checking the stories, the consensus of opinion was to change the mother board. I had a tremendous help from Tom Paone at quality@applianceeducator.com. He also told me to change the motherboard but to make sure that the coils were totally defrosted before starting up the refrigerator after changing the board.
Took off three nuts around the board at the back of the unit. Removed the input wires and you have to push in the plastic tabs holding the board in. Then just put the new board in place and push till the tabs click. Re-install the wires and put the cover back on.
Really simple task,
It is now a week since doing this and the unit is working perfectly. No soulds and good nights sleep. The ghost has moved on.

Our Ice Damper was warped, which let warm air into the freezer and caused frost to form. Also, our ice and water dispensers stopped working.
Swapping out the ice dispenser damper door was pretty easy- just used a combination of screwdrivers to remove the dispenser assembly, popped the old damper off, put the new damper on. Replacing the control board was only a bit more complicated- unplugged the fridge, removed the control board metal cover (beware the somewhat sharp edges), unhooked all the cables from the board, used needle-nose pliers to pinch each plastic spacer/fastener as to not damage them while removing the old board, mounted the new board where the old board was, and plugged in all the cables (they were all different enough from each other that I didn't have any trouble figuring out where they were supposed to connect). I now have my fridge plugged into a surge protector- hopefully that will protect this new board I've installed. Thanks a bunch,PartSelect.

Water Leak@Spout - Motherboard Lost it's Mind - Broken Ice Auger
Valve wasn't closing completely, replaced ALL valves I'm already in there). Got a pair of valves as spares too. Motherboard went AWOL...as a computer engineer it was a simple diagnosis....replace ..the broken Auger?....that was user error...Housekeeper put an ice pack in the ice drawer...you can just imagine the consequences. How easy was it?.....SO easy little hint....don't bother to wrestle the hoses off the valves...just cut them flush with the valve body....there's plenty of hose to spare. If you're a younger person you can do it in 15 mins

Repeatedly stick in defrost, raising temps in fridge and freezer for hours at a time, some times for days. Repair tech was called out twice to look into this problem, but the temps returned to normal both times before he arrived, therefore, he never could diagnose the problem with a certainity as wh
The main board is easy to get to behind the access plate. You will find seven different wire harness plugs, six which are white, that are impossible to remove without breaking the retaining clips which hold them in place....but that's OK.....you are throwing away the old board anyway, so nothing lost. The plugs will snap back into each of their respective terminal locations without a problem. Be sure to treat the four white, plastic pins that hold the board in place delicately....you will not want to mess those little dudes up!

Ice dispenser quit working and kept making a clicking sound
All you have to do is replace the circuit board which is really easy. Still kinda mad because the fridge is less than 2 years old. If you hear the clicking noise its coming from the circuit board.

Refrigerator stopped freezing and cooling frige
Well, I first had a local service guy look at the frige. only to find out his opinion was to replace the entire unit, because the Mother board cost more than the unit was worth. Me not accepting that answer, decided to look on line for a part and availability as well as price. Surprise, Part Select had what I wanted. Now, on the back of the unit in the upper left hand corner is the access door for the mother board.Find it, but before proceeding disconnect the power supply from the wall receptacle. Remove the surrounding screws on the access door with a nut driver and the correct size METRIC socket. Disconnect the wiring connectors on both sides of the board. Now there are 4 plastic type (mine were white) retaining studs holding the board in place. BE CAREFUL not to break these as you gently pull the board off studs. Replace board with new one, and restore wire connectors in their perspective places. Each connector has a different amount of pins inside so connecting them is easy. I know nothing about refrigeration, and this was a piece of cake. Less than 15 min. Unit cools like never before!!!

Refrigerator would not get cold although condensor fan worked. The compressor did not come on.
I replaced the capacitor first but the compressor still did not come on. After trying the new capacitor I removed the old board( marked the connectors just in case) then installed the new board. The major difference on the new board was the grounding wire which was simple to connect. The old board didn't have one. Once installed everything worked fine. The directions were easy to follow. I ordered the parts late Sunday night and I received the parts by Wednesday! That was fast. Thanks for the help, and this was much cheaper than calling the appliance service.

Our refrigerator stops delivering ice both crushed and cube. The ice bin was full. I first thought the delivery motor was bad and then the water dispenser in the door stopped delivery. Decided at that point it was either the door panel swith board, cable or the main circuit board on the back of t
After further diagnosis decided the main circuit board was the likely culprit. Ordered a new one from PartSelect. It came in 2 days and took less than 30 minutes to install. Unplugged the refrig. Removed the old board cover with a nut driver. Removed the wiring cables (note their location on the board) and also there were a couple of cable plugs on my refrig that were not not hooked to anything on the board. Snapped the old board out and the new board in. Reinstalled the cables and then the board cover. Plugged the refrig in and back in business. PartSelect is a great website! The speed of delivery and available information just saved me $500 to $600 from a appliance repair shop.

Clicking noice from the motherboard
After advise from the expert, he was adamant the motherboard was the (via symptoms)problem. After receiving the replacement board (via FEDEX), I followed the easy to understand instructions. I did number the electrical plugs and mapped the connections on paper. The key to the rapid fix was to carefully read all of the instructions to verify which (if any) wires needed elimination, which in my case was none. I will definitely use this service in the future as the expense was affordable and after research, I estimate a savings between 55% to 60%.
