When initiating self clean function door physically locks, oven starts but ‘door locked’ indicator light only flashes vs staying on full time. After about 15 seconds door unlocks followed by oven turning off. Any suggestions on what issue may be?
For model number PHB920SJ4SS
Hello Dave, Thank you for your inquiry. It could be an issue with either the latch assembly, the control board or the wiring. First try resetting the oven by unplugging it for 10 minutes and then plugging it back in. Next, make sure the controls are not locked by pressing and holding the lock controls button for 3-5 seconds. If this does not appear to be the result of setting the Control Lockout feature, follow the steps below to reset your control: With the door open, locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. It will look like a small black post or dowel. Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off, indicating that the oven thinks the door is closed. While holding the switch in this position, please the self clean pad and wait 10 seconds, and then once the cycle initiates, press the clear/off or cancel button to cancel the cycle. If that does not correct it, then test the switch in the latch to see if it is faulty, and check the wiring and control board for any visible damage. Good luck with your repair.
