Ignighter would not light and started smelling natural gas
Igniter is in the back bottom of the oven. I had to take off the top of the broiler compartment which has 3 screws. Unplugged the igniter which has two small screws and used a magnetic nut driver. installed the new one. It took 30-45 minutes.

Igniter wasn’t reaching ignition point
Pull range out from the wall. Unplugged the old igniter. Took the broiler assembly out of the bottom of the oven by removing 6 philips head screws. Removed the 2 screws holding the igniter & removed. Screwed the new igniter in place , replaced broiler assembly. Got back behind range plugged in the new igniter slid range back into position

Oven would not get to temp. Igniter glowed but no gas to burner.
Easy. Slide oven away from wall. Turn gas off and unplug. Open oven door. Remove grates and lift out bottom tray to access igniter. Igniter is affixed to burner tube using (QTY=2) 1/4” bolts. ... Read more the bottom. There are three phillips screws. Verify you have the correct cable for igniter by tugging on igniter in oven. Pull old igniter out. Replace old igniter with new using old bolts! Run igniter cable through back using same hole as old igniter. Plug in connector in the same fashion as prior. Before reassembly, test oven. Plug oven in and turn gas back on. Set oven to bake and set temperature. If igniter lights the gas burner tube, you’re done! Reverse process to put oven back together. Job takes 20 minutes, maximum. Saved a bundle!

Preheated the oven and after 30 minutes the temp did not change on the display i opened the oven and it was still cold, not warm at all. I cancelled everything and tried again but it didn't work. Which part do you think is best for me? Thank you

Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is the part that I am going to order going to fit my model? I had ordered an oven igniter from a different company, and the one they sent was not the one they had in the picture. It did not come with the plug in adapter. I just want to make sure before I order it, thanks

Hello Gefro, Thank you for the question.The oven igniter will stay on continuously while the burner is operating. The igniter will turn off once the oven reaches the set temperature and then it will come back on and stay on again when needed to ignite the burner to maintain the oven set temperature. My oven will not lite. It seems as if its not getting any gas from the gas line. The igniter glows very bright though. What should I check first?

Hello Raymond, Thank you for the question. First I would say test your igniters with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 1100 ohms to be working correctly. They can glow but not be strong enough to open the valve. Hope this helps!

The oven igniter was replaced by local technician. Oven lights only at 350-375 and then turns off when oven reaches that temperature. If i turn the oven control to a lower temperature, it goes out. I cannot cook that way. What needs to be done?

My Whirlpool gas stove burners work and light but when turning on the oven it lights but doesn't heat properly the temp does not change but when opening the oven it has little to no heat not enough to cook. What could the problem be?

Hello Brittany, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Oven Sensor. This oven temperature sensor, for ranges, works together with the oven control board to measure and regulate the oven temperature. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps!
