I have an intermittent whining noise that appears to be coming from the air diffuser based on the parts exploded view. Does this make sense and replacing it will stop this noise? Are their videos on replacing and how do I get the cover off, I do not see any tabs etc. Thanks.

Previously, my freezer was not defrosting properly and the fridge was not nearly cold enough. I've replaced the defrost thermostat and the defrost heater in the freezer, which seemed to fix the defrosting problem. However, the fridge was still barely cold. When plugged in, I noticed that the air diffuser door was not opening at all. There weren't any noises coming from it either so I am not sure if this part is the problem. I am already planning on replacing the air diffuser but is there any other part that could potentially be the problem?

Hello Finn, thank you for getting in touch. The air damper, part number PS11769417, could be the issue. If the air damper is faulty, it will not open to let cool air circulate between freezer and refrigerator. Also, check the evaporator fan motor, part number PS11740362. The evaporator fan circulates cold air in the refrigerator. Make sure the refrigerator door are sealing properly. We hope this helps.
