Timer locked up, will not turn
From behind the dryer remove the panel directly behind the timer assembly (6 phillips head screws). Take a picture at this point of how the wires are attached to the timer assembly for reference during reassembly Then remove wires with pliers. Remove T10 Torx screw that retains the timer assembly in place. Remove timer Knob (
... Read morepull forward). Rotate timer assembly to pop it out. From here, twist in new timer, use T10 torx to hold in place re-attach wires and reinstall rear panel

It this the part that the dryer knob fits around. The part is stripped on my dryer and would like to be able to replace just the piece that is stripped and not the entire timer assembly.

Thank you for your question. You will have to replace the entire Timer Assembly to replace the part you are talking about. Good luck with your repair.

Timer pin that holds the knob on is broken off to were i must use pliers on it. Is there a pin that runs through the timer that holds the knob on. Is this the only part i need or do have to buy complete timer.

Hello, Thank you for your question. If you are needing the shaft that comes out of the control panel that the knob goes on you will need the timer itself -Part #: PS8746223. We hope this helps.
