Hard to repair, long time to recieve the part
I thought I was ordering a complete relay, not a kit to repair my old relay. That was my fault because I didn't read the part details close enough to understand that kit meant rebuild it yourself. It took a couple of weeks to get the part because it was back ordered, but I ordered it because it showed that it was in stock.

Fridge was working, I unplugged it for several months, now compressor won’t start. Light comes on so I know I have power. I took overload/ relay off. Rattles when I shake it. No movement on ohm meter to l and m leads. Several internet videos suggest this is the problem. Your site says this is a low percentage part compared to defrost controller. Any other tests i can do to confirm it is relay overload (does that include starting capacitor? My existing part: 241667501. Thanks! Vince

Hello Vince, Thank you for the question. If the Relay Overload kit rattles, it is defective and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Freezer just quit and compressor doesn't start. Temp control unit seems to be working correctly. Should i try this relay?
For model number 253.26442100
Hello Eldon, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to replace either the Defrost Thermostat part PS2350702, the Electronic Control part PS2363966, or this Relay and Overload Kit part PS11766169. We hope this helps.

I changed the thermostat defrost on this unit but it still doesn’t run. I know it could be other parts that may need changing, how can I pin point witch part needs to be changed without buying part after part. Thanks in advance

Hi Joseph, you would need a multimeter to test the electronic components. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
