Good part, easy to install except...
Part was easy to install but one of the male post didn't match the same size as the part being replaced. The original part has a small male connection to match the existing female connection of the wiring system. The new part had a larger male post which didn't fit the existing female wiring post in the wiring system. To fix I had to step the connection up to the new post by adding my own wiring which was frustrating and time consuming.

Advised of wrong element size.
You advised me to purchase the wrong burner element and I now need to return it and get the correct one. I specifcally asked if it wad the medium element, not the largest and was reassured it was the one I needed but it is not. It was delivered as promised and in good condition but wrong part needed. I used the live chat to determine the size.

Does this model have one or two oven heating elements
For model number mer57755qaw
Hi Ken,
Thank you for the question. The oven has the top Broil Element and a bottom Bake Element. The surface element is not for inside the oven but the top of the stove for the cook top.
Hope this helps!
Large heat element.on right front of cooktop doesn’t maintain temperature set on dial.
For model number MER5755QAW
Hello Bob, Thank you for your question. Be sure to cut power to your appliance and remove any parts before doing tests. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your element. It should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. Part number PS11764917. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity, then the switch is the issue. It could also be your wiring that is the issue, but you should see visual damage on that part in most cases. Unfortunately, the switch and wires have been discontinued and we have no known replacement listed in our system. We have no further information. You are welcome to contact the manufacturer of the part to see if they have recently released a new substitute, and then you are always welcome to check back to see if we carry the part. We hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
