Water is not leaking from the front door area during or after cycling. But water is constantly collecting in the bottom of the rubber boot between the rotating drum and the inner door. We always put a wash cloth init to soak it up, or it starts smelling. Design problem or a replacable part? I can tackle up to medium repairs. 27 year GE field engineer. any ideas?
For model number GFW450SMiDG
Hi Victor, thank you for reaching out. First, you may need to make sure the door boot is not clogged. There are small drain holes at the bottom of the door boot, which might get clogged resulting in water to accumulate at the bottom. Also, make sure the washer drains properly and the drain hose is not clogged. If that is not causing the issue, then the door boot, part number PS11763264, is most likley faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

I have water leaking out fof my front load door boot from the top, with water accumulated in the bottom and going into the barrel then eventually flooding my laundry room. I've stopped all water supply going from wall but there is still leakage. I am stumped to where the water is coming from and is only happens after I do a load of laundry.i need help finding the correct part to replace so I don't have replace the whole washing machine unit. My washing machine is a front load General Electric model.
For model number WBVH5300K0WW
Hello Kathryn, Thank you for contacting us. First check the clamps on the door boot seal to make sure they are fastened snugly and the door boot seal itself does not have any damage. Check for any visible damage to the drum front with seal, and check the dispenser, vent hose and inlet pipes for any visible damage. The other part that can cause this issue is the water inlet valve, so check for any visible damage. Good luck with your repair.
