My cook top cracked, can i still cook on it?

Hello Raymond, thank you for your question. Its not recommended you use a cracked cooktop. Steam, water, and other food/water can get down into the cook top and cause the element to burn out. Its best to replace the cook top. Unfortunately, the replacement glass for this unit is discontinued. It is no longer available. I hope this helps!

What are the part number for the above Maytag range model: large element (8" or 9"??)
