Timer Knob WPY703663

This part was a difficult part to find. When we found it on this site, we were suspicious. But we were happily surprised when the part matched the original part and worked great. We're very pleased.

At first had some difficulty fitting the knob on the shaft. Would not push down far enough. Then gave the shaft a good cleaning - there is a very narrow "cut" through the length of the shaft that had filled with dirt over time (did not even notice it at first) but then used flossing tape to clean it out and the knob fit better. The knob does not go all the way to the bottom of the shaft, but it looks good enough. Do need to mention that this knob is for looks only. The timer (bell) has never worked and was told by salesman that it was meant for oven only and I only purchased the cooktop. Not sure if this is correct, but thought it was worth mentioning.
