Inlet Hose Washer Specifications

This inlet hose washer, also known as a high pressure inlet hose washer, is used in washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers. The function of this part is to create a watertight seal in the appliance. If your gasket gets dry and brittle over time it will start to crack and will lose its function. In this case, it is important to replace it. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer for further installation instructions and accurate guidance. As a safety precaution, remember to unplug your washer from the power source before beginning.

(Portable ) The Hose Hook up from the dishwasher to the kitchen faucet would not seal. After replacing the hoses the connection hoses sealede.
tilted the dishwasher back so the bottom was exposed and unhooked the old hoses, then removed old hoses through the back side of the dish washer then fed the new hoses through the back and hooked them up.

Cold water inlet was limiting flow, resulting in slow tank fill time.
When selecting a cold cycle, the inlet valve would allow for slow water flow resulting in 15+ minute tank fill times.

I unplugged the washer, disconnected all water sources.

I removed the 3 screws holding the water inlet value and cover. Disconnected all cabling and water tubing. Replaced valve, reconnected all cabling and reinstalled.

While I was doing the repair on the inlet value. I replaced the hose washer and also installed a screen kit at the home water valve. The home is supported by a well and at times sees sedimentation in the water which could have sparked the initial issue to begin with.

I did clean the old water inlet valve once before which fixed the problem temporarily. It was time to replace the entire part.

This corrected the issue.

water continued to trickle, (sometimes flow), during spin cycle thereby leaving tub with 1/4 to 1/2 filled with water at end of each wash.
Removed washer top by depressing spring loaded clamps with a screw driver. Tricky part was determining location of clamps so that I knew where to insert screw driver; (I used diagrams of my model found on the Internet). With top lifted up, I located water control valve and removed brackets and plastic fixture surrounding it. Was careful to disconnect electronic wiring into valve. Then removed hoses and replaced with new part. Most of the time spent was diagnosing problem, determining plan for getting access to part, and reassembling without losing parts down in tub area. Saved an estimated $150-250 by doing it myself.
