Does the ice maker for this model have a filter before the water intake to the freezer?
For model number ktrc22kkss00
Hi John, Thank you for the question. This model number does not come equipt with a water filter. The water supply that hooks up to the appliance would have to be ran through your in house water filtration system. Hope this helps!

The icemaker runs and the motor turns the shaft and fingers turns to remove the ice but the water does not fill the tray. The motor continues to move to turn the shaft but no water is flowing to the unit. Can you help me with this problem.
For model number ev187nyrso1
Hi Dane, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve with an Multi Meter. If the valve is getting power but does not have continuity, it will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Water is leaking behind icemaker inside of freezer, could water line be loose?
For model number ET8WTEXMQ03
Hi George,
Thank you for your inquiry. The water line could be the issue and is something you may have to look into. You may also have to check the water inlet valve and the ice maker itself. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have frost buildup between the icemaker and the back wall of freezer. The icemaker is not working well. What do you suggest?
For model number KTRC22KKSS00
Hello Stephen,
Thanks for your question. The icemaker itself could be faulty, but you may also want to test the bi-metal defrost thermostat and the defrost heater with a multimeter to ensure continuity. Replace them if they do not show continuity. If it has been 6 months since you last changed your water filter, consider replacing that as well.
I hope this helps.
Does this appliance come with the ice maker attachment or no?
For model number GB9SHDXPQ02

My fridge is dripping water from the ceiling. It is not random condendation droplets, but is coming from a whole on the ceiling. At a rather brisk rate. ( 1/4 cup in 10 minutes.) i have a jar collecting it so it doesn't flood!. i dont have an icemaker or hoses connected. the door and freezer seal are intact. any ideas?
For model number ET1MHKXMQ03
Hello Stacy, thank you for your question. It sounds like the drain tube for draining the excess water is clogged. I would recommend removing the back panel of the freezer to see if there is ice buildup on the evaporator coils. If there is ice buildup, when the defrost heater turns on, it will defrost a lot of water that will drip down. Then check the drain tube at the back of the freezer section to be sure it is clear. It should be draining water from the freezer down to the evaporator pan under the fridge by the compressor. If you pour some water down the drain and it doesn't go through to the pan, the tube is clogged or frozen and will have to be cleared. I hope this helps!

I recently bought a new refrigerator (WRS315SNHM) with the add-on ice maker (ECKMF95). The ice maker does not work and have been told I have the wrong ice maker.
I was told the correct ice make should be WPW10715708. Now I have been told the two ice makers are the same. I need clarification as the simple idea of making ice is getting expensive.
For model number ECKMF95
Hello Mike, thank you for your question. Part number WPW10715708 and part number ECKMF95 are the same part. We hope this helps.

Wanted to install ice maker in my freezer
I was clening my uprght freezer and noticed that it was preped for an icemaker. I first went to the Whilpool website and could not find my part as my freezer was a 2008 model.
I saw PartSelect on the search page and went to thier site. I put in my modle number of the Whilpool Ice maker kit that was on the back of my freezer. PartSelect had the part in stock and approx $18.00 less than the other kits listed on the Whilpool site (that did not match my kit number). I orderd the kit on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. It took less than and hour to install. Every part I needed was included. The following day I installed the water line and now I have an extra icemaker.

installed ice maker
From the time I started to finish I worked 3 hours, this included installing the new ice maker, cutting into the cold water line in the basement and installing a t with a 6inch piece of pipe with a compression valve to connect to the small cooper tube, this is worth your time to do it this way, its a lot better connection than the small pierce valves that come with the kit, they will leak over time. I installed the filter in the waterline in the basement for easy access

I added an ice maker to a 20 year old refridgerator
I added an icemaker kit. Everything I needed was in the kit. The refrigerator was presetup for an icemaker it was just never added. The only problem I had was that the holes for attaching the water solenoid were not pre drilled so I had to drill them myself and use sheet metal screws. The icemaker is working great.

It was my first time to install a ice maker.
I first read the instruction manual then I watched the installation video. My water line to it was 3/8. Went to the local ACE Hardware to purchase a short peace of 1/4 copper tubing and the fittings to connect them together. It makes ice every 55 minutes.

All as expected
No issues with the ice maker. Three screws and turned the water back on. Had ice in hours. Just wish those top screws were a bit easier to access. (Old ice maker was flaking off the black coating, getting louder with popping noises over the past couple of years, then recently it just quit working.). Replacing the ice maker is a lot cheaper than buying a new fridge.

Part worked great
We ordered an icemaker it came quickly and was easy to install. The only problem was our fault and that was having to go to the hardware store twice for new water supply hose and plastic things for seals. Will order from PartSelect next time we need a part. Thank you for great service.

Everything worked as expected and the directions were clear
We have lived in our home for 17 years without an ice maker. Turns out, one of the previous owners had one in another fridge so the water line was already there as well as a water purifier. How about that? Our lives are so much better with this ice maker. Also, the cubes are skinny enough to fit in our Swell bottles.
