Hello John, Thank you for the question. before replacing the board we suggest testing the Defrost Heater. You should get an approximate reading of 10 to 150 ohms. We hope this helps!
My krmf706ess01 fridge has defrosting issues that causes ice buildup in the back which leads the freezer not to cool to the set temperature. The refrigerator part reaches close to the set 37 degrees. The freezer reaches only 17 degrees though set to -1.Someone looked at it (without doing any test) and suggested to change the evaporator motor and control board. then he quoted for a wrong part (for the board ) wpw10624574 instead of wpw10675033.
my question is what is the best way to test and confirm if the control board is actually faulty. same for the evaporator motor. your help is really appreciated. thanks

Hi Garry,
Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator and freezer section is too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the thermistor, the evaporator fan motor, the electronic control board, the defrost timer, the defrost thermostat, the defrost heater and the condenser fan motor. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

How can i test control board wpw10675033 to know if it is working
For model number KMRF706EBS00
Hi Rick, thank you for your question. Regrettably only a trained technician can test an electronic control board to verify if it is malfunctioning or not. You would either need to find one in your area or contact your manufacturer to see if they would be able to send one to your home to do the tests. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My refrigerator has a defrosting issue where ice is building up on the coil causing the freezer to not get cold enough. The evaporator fan motor is working, i replaced the thermistor, i do not see a defrost timer or thermostat ( i assume those are built into one of the control boards). So i believe i am down to replacing one of the control boards, are there any recommendations on which one controls the defrost cycle or if there is anything else i should try before i replace a board?

I tried to reset for ten minueted then turned back on still have the same problem. Does this control panel control that or is it another part I may need. Thank you.

The water dispenser, ice maker, cold pull-out drawer panel and inside lights stopped working.
I disconnected the pull out drawer and now the ice maker works, inside lights work but pull out panel doesn't or water dispenser.
I did diangostic test on water dispenser and it works. So guessing the control board is bad?
I am also guessing the control panel in the pull out drawer is bad also? I dont think ill fix this because there isn't much value to changing the buttons anyways....thoughts?

After power outage refer will not cool below 45degrees f. Freezer is cold, suspect circuit board to be the problem, doesn't sound like evaporations fan motor or condenser fan motor is running seems intermittent. Does this sound like board problem? Refer is only a little over 1year old.

Hi Stephen, than you for your question. When you are having temperature problems in your fridge, there are a few parts that could cause the issue. You can use a multi meter to test most of the parts. Make sure you cut power to your appliance before doing any repairs or tests. First you should test your defrost thermostat. Place the thermostat in ice cold water for 2-3 minutes after removing it from your appliance. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. Another part to check would be your defrost heater. Remove it from the appliance. It should be reading anywhere between 0 - 50 ohms to be working. You could check your temperature sensor. To find the correct reading for this part you will have to refer to your tech sheet that comes with your appliance. You can usually find this tech sheet behind the bottom grille of your fridge on either the right or left side. These are the most common parts that cause this issue in your appliance. So it is suggested you check them first. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
