Ref not holding temp
Remove 4 -1-4 screws with nut drivers assembly drops down tstat pups out remove wires replace tstat n put back in reverse !

Freezer part of ref stays at 18-20 degrees --what is needed for it to get colder

Hello, Thank you for contacting us. I suggest checking the following parts: PS11757023 Capacitor and PS11740359 Evaporator Fan Motor. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you.

My refrigerator is making a clicking noise by the thermostat, the fridge and freezer is not cooling or making any ice. I have replaced the capacitor and it is still not working.

Hello Evelyn, thank you for your question. That clicking noise would be either the thermostat Part #: PS11756547 or the control board, Part #: PS11753571. The more likely issue is the thermostat so I would start there and replace that first. If that doesn't fix the issue the board would have to be replaced. I hope this helps!

Does this refrigerator have a timer for the defrost ?

Hello Amy, thank you for your question. This appliance does not have a defrost timer. The defrost timer mechanism is a part of the Refrigerator electronic control board Parts #: W10352689. There is a defrost heater, and thermostat on the unit as well. I hope this helps!

How do you check and replace a defrost heater?

Thank you for your question. You will need to check the defrost heater with a multimeter. Hi, the freezer section was not getting cold enough to freeze things, the fridge part is ok. Both fans are fine. I cleaned the coils and replaced the start relay/capacitor and the compressor kicks in. I checked the evaporator and noticed snow & ice on the far right corner of it and the tube coming down to it. I tested the heater and it has continuity. Thanks for any advice.

The ice on the evaporator coils indicates that either the freezer is not defrosting properly or warm air is leaking into the freezer compartment which gets dehumidified and leads to ice formation on coils. We would recommend checking the defrost thermostat, part number PS11754118, and the freezer door gasket, part number PS323951. Hello Dennisdl, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Run Capacitor, PartSelect Number PS11743364. This part helps the compressor kick on and off while maintaining a constant temperature to keep things frozen in your freezer.You can also test the Start Device, PartSelect Number PS11754245.
