Easy to replace
The part was expensive, but on par with prices elsewhere. The two lights in the fridge were flickering and the freezer light was completely out. This seems to be a very common issue with this Whirlpool fridge/freezer so it's a little disappointing that Whirlpool hasn't come up with a permanent fix. Since the three lights are daisy-chained like Xmas lights, it kind of a crap shoot as to which one is "bad". The 2 lights in the fridge are different to the one in the freezer. I went with the recommended part (freezer light}. It was a super quick/simple swap out and fixed the problem immediately. The one thing I love about PartSelect is the tutorials. Makes the repair quick and easy!

Easy repair LED Light
The LED light came in seal package. It was easy to install. You will need a very small size flat head screw driver to pop the light out of its slot. You might want to shut the power off to the refrigerator first. Discount the connector . Plug the new LED light into the connector and pop it back into its slot. Turn the power on. On a side note if when you open the refrigerator or freezer door and the lights are constantly blinking . One of LEDs (there are 4 tiny lights in the tube or circuit) is probably out. There are two lights in the refrigerator side and one in the freezer side . You will have to look really carefully to see which circuit in the LED is out.

Freezer light out, refrigerator lights dim.
Used a screwdriver to pop the catches and unplugged the light from the top of the freezer. Plugged the new light into the wire connector and pushed the assembly back into freezer top. The freezer light and all the refrigerator lights are now bright.

The lights went very dim one day. They are LED and have 4 diodes in each light bar. Three went out for the freezer and one went out in the fridge at the same time.
I tried to replace the light in the fridge first but couldn’t get it out (that one has the control board and is very expensive) so a replaced the one in the freezer by prying it off the ceiling. When I plugged the new one in all the other lights came on full power. Strange but I sent the other one back.

Used a flat head screwdriver to pop the old light out.
Plugged the new one in and snapped it into place. Only other need is a lantern or someone to shine a flashlight over your shoulder since the old light is, presumably, out.

Which part # do i need to replace the lights in the freezer side as well as the fridge side
For model number WRS325FDAM04
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your question. You would need two of these LEDs. In the fridge this LED goes on the bottom. This is also the same LED in your freezer. I have linked the second LED that you would need only one of. It goes on the ceiling of your fridge. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
The top light in the fridge just flickers like a strobe light. Should I replace the plunger/switch, the light assembly or both?
For model number Wrs325fdam02
Hi Richard, Thank you for the question.I suggest replacing the Light Assembly. This seems to fix the strobe light issue.Hope this helps!

How do you remove this part and install replacement
For model number Wrs325fdamo4
Hello John. There are clips on either side of the light module. If you take a small flat head screwdriver and release the tabs the light module will come down from the ceiling and then you can unplug the unit and replace. Please remember to unplug the unit before starting this repair. I hope this helps!

Freezer and refrigerator led lights were strobing. Installed a new controller led light unit in top of refrigerator. That stopped the strobing for a couple of weeks. Then the led lights in refrigerator side went to half power and the freezer light does not work at all.. replaced led controller unit again, but did not help the current problem of no light in freezer side and low led light in refrigerator. what do i do now?
For model number WWRS325FDAM04
Hello Colleen, thank you for inquiring. You will most likely want to try replacing the LED Light itself, this part number PS11755866 is the correct replacement for your model. Good luck with your repair!

For model number WRS325FDAB06
Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty led lights PS11755866 (same for both fridge and freezer) you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace the part(s) as needed. They are fairly easy to change as they just plug and snap-in. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Sometimes the lights in both the refrigerator and freezer section work and other times it flickers. What do I need to fix this problem? Put in service 9/24/14.
For model number WRS537SIAM
Hi Phil,
Thank you for your question. If the lights are not working in your refrigerator, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the rocker switch, the LED light control board, the LED light and the door switch. You will need to test the parts with a multi-meter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may use as a general reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Hello, light of the fridge on top is dim, and the two others : Freezer and crisper (low in the fridge) are not working , so which one had to replaced , one, two, three? How to check the good ones? Why they are all connected together they are functionning in a group not individually making the diagonstic most difficult. Your help appreciated. Thanks
For model number 10651793412
Hi Michel, thank you for your question. You have one LED light in each part of your fridge. So one in the freezer and then one in the fridge. If the LED light is not the issue then the issue might be in your LED light control board. Unfortunately we do not have any information on how to test these parts. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
