Intermittent dimly lit touch panel lights (2) with the machine on or off
Initially I removed the front panel and touch panel cleaned the cable connection from the touch panel. This did not correct the problem. Although the dishwasher still ran fine. I searched online for the part and decided to order from PartSelect. I ordered it on 6/30/19 with standard shipping and received it on 7/9/19.

I once again removed the front panel and the touch panel and disconnected the touch panel connector. I installed the new one putting in the touch panel screws first then the front panel screws.
The replacement time was about 30 minutes and a few hours later all seems to be working correctly with no dimly lit touch panel lights.
A torx wrench was the only tool used.

control panel went bad
Once the correct part arrived, our son bought a star screw driver set took off the old panel and assembled the new one. He did loosen a couple of side screws to allow room to work.

Control panel just stopped working
Since the control panel is an all-in-one "plug and play" item, it is as straightforward as removing the torx head screws on the inside of the door, disconnecting and removing the old panel, plugging in and reinstalling the new panel, and buttoning up all the screws. A few notes: 1) The replacement panel's mating surfaces are slightly different than the original's so it took a little study and wiggling to get it seated; 2) There are two different lengths of torx head screws that hold the door panels/part together - the longer ones hold the control panel on, the shorter ones simply keep the door panels together; 3) When you pull the control panel screws, the handle unit will likely fall on the floor if you're not careful - don't sweat it, it can only go back on one way so you'll figure it out easily enough.

The dishwasher control panel has two lights that remain on, the delay 4hr and cancel drain.Removal of power or try to reset does not clear lights. I assume the control panel only needs to be replaced. Regards,John

Hello John, Thank you for the question. First, try to press and hold the heated dry button for 5 seconds to see if the control panel will clear the lights(you may have already done this to reset). If that does not fix the issue, your touchpad might be shorted out or stuck.Try to heat up the buttons with a hair dryer and massage the buttons. Try to reset again and if this does not fix the issue you may have to replace the touch pad. Hope this helps!

Some of our push buttons stopped working. Is the touch pad and control panel (ps11755696) all we need to replace? Thank you

Hi Jerry, Thank you for your inquiry. The touchpad and control panel should be the only part you need. One thing to check before you order it would be to see if the membrane on the touchpad is dirty. Sometimes dusting it may get it to work. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The dishwasher door closes tightly, but the control panel buttons will not respond to touch. What part do you think i need to get. Thanks for your help.

Hi Bernadette, Thank you for your inquiry. You may have to check both the electronic control board and the touchpad. Sometimes if the touchpad is not responding you will need to dust the membrane that attaches the control board to get it to work. To test both parts you will need a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

touchpad light drying light is on Hit cancel and will not go out Even plugged the dishwasher and waited 10 minutes and still on Do I need to replace the touchpad?
For model number KUDS30IXBL7

Hello Doug, Thank you for your inquiry. You can test to see if it is the touchpad or the control board, by unplugging the dishwasher, open the door and console, then unplug the touchpad ribbon from the control board, replace the console. Leaving the door open, reconnect the power, then after 5-7 seconds shut the dishwasher door. The appliance is usually programmed to turn on the drain pump if it does not detect the touchpad. If the drain pump comes on, then the control board is fine and the touchpad would need to be replaced. Otherwise, replace the control board. Good luck with your repair.

The bottom part of the control panel has pulled away from the door and sticks out about one half inch. It can be pushed back in, but the next time we pull open the door it pulls away again. I think a plastic part snapped off behind the panel. The dishwasher works okay except that 1) we have to reboot it once in a while (turn off then on the dishwasher circuit breaker) and 2) now the lights on the panel no longer light up. Can you diagnose what the problem is, and tell me what parts i would need? And the degree of difficulty the repair would be? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi Walter, Thank you for your questions. Based on what you described, you will need to check the door latch, the electronic control board, the fuse and touchpad and control panel. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi David, thank you for contacting us. It seems like a user interface communication fault. We would suggest checking the wiring connections of the user interface board with the main control board. If the issue remains, the user interface board, part number PS12745443, might be faulty. We hope this information helps!
