I put the replacement beaters in the designated sockets exactly as indicated in the bottom of the mixer body. Essentially the same as every other time I have used this mixer.

Received the beaters. Opened package and removed plastic. Snapped beaters into place!! Easy as that. It's too bad that KitchenAid doesn't offer much as far as attachments go. I love my mixer.
