Easy Repair. New Switch works well
This repair was a no brainer. Switch defective.
I have a few other Whirlpool appliances and find it impossible to obtain Service Manuals or
decent Schmatic diagrams.

I'm sure it's a great part, but it did not fix my issue. Had to return and purchase a different part.

Dryer would not start
I unplugged the dryer and moved it out from the wall to access the rear top control panel. I removed the five screws and removed the panel. I pulled the starter switch button off. Holding the switch from the back with a twist and removed it. With new switch in hand I transferred the three connectors to new switch then with a twist remoun

Whirlpool gas dryer will not start. It has good electric power. Light is on. Thinking start switch or fuse. Any other suggestions. How long to get the part/s once ordered. Thank you.
For model number wgd4850hw
Hello Todd, thank you for reaching out. We have researched and found that you may need to check the following parts: thermal fuse, part number PS11741460, cycling thermostat, part number PS11741405, and start switch, part number PS11754857. You can test these parts with a multimeter to diagnose the faulty part. Shipping options are provided during the check out. We hope this information helps!

I turned the large "setting knob" on the left side of the dryer top counterclockwise and now the dryer will not turn on. I must have broken the switch somehow.
What part do I need and how easy is it to repair?
For model number NED4700YQ0
Hi Gil, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the timer, part number PS11754717, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. To repair this issue, you may need to first remove the timer knob. After that, remove the rear panel by unthreading the screws that attach it to the control panel. After removing the rear panel, you can access the timer easily to replace it. We hope this helps!
Does this part also do for a push start button when I look at the diagram it does not seem to be a push button but rather a turning button
For model number YWED4850HW0
