Is there a special tool needed to remove the freezer gasket? Is there a sealant required for installation of new gasket.

Thank you for your question. You do not need a special tool to remove the gasket. It just pulls out from the door. There is no sealant or anything else required, you would just have to make sure your gasket is clean and your door is clean as well before installing your gasket. I hope that helps.
