The lid suddenly feels like a dead weight when closing. There must be some "helping to hold up mechanism/hinge that broke" ----like the soft close hinge on a kitchen cabinet door...can't seem to find it on the diagram..??

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes you have two hinges. The one with the PS part number ending in 700 is for your left hand side, and the one ending in 701 is the right hand side. Good luck, I hope this helps.
