This ice container, also known as an ice bucket or ice bin, is an authentic OEM part that is designed to fit with refrigerators. It consists of a white base attached to a transparent plastic dish with a metal rod in the center known as an auger. It is where produced ice is collected and stored. The container serves as a reservoir for the ice and allows for convenient access to ice cubes or crushed ice whenever needed. It also prevents the ice from scattering throughout the freezer compartment. If you notice water leakages, visible damage on the ice container, experience difficulties dispensing ice, or notice ice clumping together in large masses, then you will likely need to replace the container.

Bottom of ice container auger was broken
Simply pulled out the old unit and installed new per instructions. I was going to order just the part that houses the auger and ice bucket. I was also going to purchase the lesser quality brands at deep discount but after ready the 'challenges' with all of that - spent the money and saved myself the headaches. (and scratched fingers) E

I am replacing the "removable ice storage bin". Ps11753329 looks right but the mfg number does not match what my current bins shows w10347100. I assume there was a part number change? Please confirm that this will work on my model. Thanks.
For model number WRF989SDAM02
Hi Fran,
Thank you for your question. The PS number is just our company catalogue number for any part that we carry. According to your manufacturer this would be the correct ice container for your appliance. So it should work for you without any issues. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The metal plate in my ice maker is rusting, can I buy just the metal part instead of the whole ice bucket?
For model number WRF989SDAM00
Hi Mike, Thank you for the question. Checking the model number it shows the manufacture does not sell the individual parts to the ice bucket and the full bucket will need to be replaced. Good luck with the repair!

I just noticed when I looked in the ice container there were some white plastic pieces that were in the ice container. I cleaned everything out and now I notice when the ice maker makes ice there are ice cubes at the bottom right corner of the ice container where there is an opening. Is this normal for ice to accumulate in that corner opening of the ice container. I fact when I open the door some of the cubes fall out of that opening. Thanks
For model number KRFF507ESS01
Hello Mark, Thank you for the question. I suggest watching to see if the Auger is turning normally so it is pushing the cubes down the chute. You may need to remove the bin and take it apart to check for any damaged parts. Hope this helps!

The ice maker makes ice fine but will dispense the ice as just a few cubes even though the bin is full and after the dispensing of the few cubes and pressing the dispenser again it just makes a whirring sound and no more ice cubes come out, does it need to be replaced ?
For model number WRF736SDAM14
Hi Randy,
Thank you for your question. The whirring sound you are hearing is likely the auger motor. If your dispenser is not dispensing ice or is dispensing just a few cubes, the motor may be malfunctioning and you will need to replace it. The part number listed under your model number for the auger motor is PS11723175. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Ice cubes collect underneath the bottom of the ice maker bin. The bin then gets wedged and frozen into the compartment. Water appears to puddle and freeze there also. Will a new bin solve the issue
For model number Wrf736sdam10
Hello Bruce, thank you for your question. If water is getting into the bin and freezing the cubes that are stored there, the valve may be sticking open and allowing too much water to come into the unit. We would recommend replacing the valve, and checking to be sure the area is sealed well from the outside air as allowing warm air into that section may cause frost buildup which can freeze up the bucket. I hope this helps.

My ice maker stopped making ice. I clean the bin and the compartment still no ice. Is it safe to assume if I replace this ice maker it will solve the problem? The refrigerator is a 2014 model.
For model number wrf989sdah
Hello Jim, thank you for your question. Yes, it is good assumption that if the icemaker stopped making ice, that replacing it could resolve this issue. The Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly is part PS11757394. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
The ice tray is having some issues, the lever that permits the tray to be pulled out was damaged by a frozen ice, it need to be replaced, how can i removed it?
For model number WRF736SDAW14
Hi David, thank you for your question. There is a little opening on the bottom corner right side of your ice maker. There is a lever inside of that opening that you would depress to release the ice bucket. Then you just pull it out of place. Good luck with your repair.

Ice dispenser will not deliver ice or water. I have tried to replace the motor, but still doesn't work. Next place to try is the dispenser paddle. Can you give me the part number for my fridge?
For model number WRF989SDAH02
Hello Bart, Thank you for contacting us. We hope this helps!
I am looking for an exploded view and orientation of the parts for just the ice bin. During cleaning and some disassembly, the assembly of washers and blades completely disassembled uncontrolled. I have it reassembled close, but something is out of place as I note some interference on rotation of the blades. Thanks for any help.
