If my door handle broke off will it keep the oven from lighting? I will order this part but the plastic where it broke on the outside to the inside was brittle and fell into pieces in my hand. I ordered the Maytag stove because i always believed that Maytag made superior appliances. However, the vent from the oven located on the top right of the range has turned the paint above it a yellow which cannot be scrubbed enough to become white. It was also advertised as a self cleaning which i wondered about because it was gas/propane. It did come with a tiny scraper and a mr clean magic eraser. Imagine my surprise, this has become a joke for me to tell people about my range. Anyway, thank you for answering me question.
