Manifold design change
The new manifold is not the same design as the original. The end that inserts into the rear wall of the dishwasher is a straight tube. The original was fluted and was allowed to mate easier. Also the mounting bracket required for the new design is totally different. This difference should have been made more apparent to purchasers

manifold wore out did not hold water anymore
remove one philips screw take out manifold replace with new one put screw back in and we are done not mechanically difficult by any means
