I have a Whirlpool standup freezer, but new items placed in the freezer aren't freezing. Older items are staying frozen. Could it be the defroster causing the freezer to overheat?
For model number WZF56R16DW00
Hello Joel, thank you for inquiring. This is most likely due to the Evaporator Motor part number PS11753712 for your model. You may also want to consider the Compressor part number PS4082905. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

For model number Wzf34x18dw00
Thank you for your question. If your coils are ice covered and the temperature starts to rise after 3 months, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check temperature sensor and the defrost heater. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
My Freezer won't automatically defrost. I checked continuity on heater element and there is no continuity. What parts do I also need to check and how to test them?Is the heater bad?
For model number MZF34X20DW00
Hello Dwayne, thank you for contacting us. The most probable cause of the issue is a bad heater, part number PS11752658. For proper operation, the heater must be continuous. We would also recommend testing the temperature sensor, part number PS11753994, for continuity using a multimeter. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.

Freezer will not freeze. Noticed ice formed on back wall. Checked the coils at the rear bottom of unit and cleaned them. No improvement. Will try defrosting unit and see if that helps. But honestly, i do not think the freezer has ever been cold enough. My ice cream has always be soft. Fridge is operating in the high 30's but sometimes stuff on the lower shelf freezes.

Hello MB,
Thank you for your question. Our sources suggest replacing the capacitor for the compressor under part PS11757023 for your model if the freezer section is too warm. We hope this helps.
