Product Description
Bake Element Specifications
This bake element for your oven, range, or stove provides heat from the bottom of the appliance to cook or bake your food items. You may need to replace this part if your oven is not heating properly. This bake element is approximately 22 inches wide. Disconnect power to your appliance before completing the repair because you will be working near electrical wiring harnesses. The wiring harnesses feature slip-on terminals for easy installation. Be sure to hold the wiring harness forward so they do not fall behind the panel, as they are difficult to retrieve. This is an authentic OEM bake element.

Bake does not work at all but broiler does. 21 ohoms for bake element. Clock control board works fine. What component defective? What is proper resistance for long oven sensor?
For model number Jmw9530caw

Hi Mike, Thank you for the question. if it is just the bake element not working I suggest replacing the element. If the sensor was defective the element would come on but would not keep the set temperature. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

I have a jenn air double wall oven. Problem I am having is only with bottom oven. My broiler element on bottom oven is working but not the baking element (lower element). So i ordered and replaced the bottom element with brand new one but it is still the same and element not heating. Everything else works fine except when on bake on only that part which causes the bottom oven to not work on bake mode cause only top element works. Please help, what else could it be??

Bottom oven would not heat
When I removed the bottom bake element and tested it with an ohm meter, it was an open circuit. Once the new one arrived, I simply had to hook up the two leads, screw the cover back on the back of the oven and the job was done.

bake element weakened in one spot and burned through
I removed two screws holding the element in place. Carefully pulled the element from its mounting throught insulation to expose the two wires connected by electric wire clips. I removed the clips and searched the part online using google. Part Select was provided as the top source. I ordered the part and it was delivered in two days. Taking care to thread the connection through the insulation, I was pleased to have installed it in about 5 minutes. All tools were still out and ready for use. Thank you for your service

For us who are home repair “task challenged”, this was a no-brainer. Like other reviewers have mentioned; right part, fast delivery & easy to install (really easy)! Watched the video, but probably could have done it even without some degree of visual assistance.
