I'm at a loss
Our latch was busted and the strike rusted and chipped. We replaced the strike and the latch in our washer. The parts were easy to replace. But the washer still won't work. When we push Start we just get the warning beeps. I'm just at a loss as to what it won't work. The lid won't latch or lock. Help?

How is the strike installed? It is supposed to be a stick in and roll into place deal but i can't seem to make it work. Please consider showing me how it is done.
For model number 7MWTW5700YW1
Hi Tatiana, thank you for your question. Make sure you place the strike in the right orientation to go on to your lid. To help lock it into place you have to turn it clockwise and then push the tabs in. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

How do you remove plastic on front of lid to get to screws that hold the strike to replace with a new one
For model number WTW5840BW0
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. First, remove the screws on the top panel of the washer to the cabinet. Next, lift and remove the top panel of the washer. Then, locate and remove the two screws that secure the strike to the washer cabinet. Finally, pull out and remove the old strike from its bracket. We hope this helps.
