This water inlet valve supplies the water needed to both the water dispenser and the ice maker. A block in the valve could be what is keeping your machine from properly dispensing water, or making ice. Before you decide to replace this part, turn the household water supply to this valve off, and remove the input tubing to see if it is clogged. If so, clear the blockage to allow water back into the ice machine. If the ice maker is still not working properly, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. Remember to disconnect the power and water supply to your refrigerator before beginning this repair.

Does the water inlet valve assembly include the circuit board?
For model number KUIS18NNTB0
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your question. The electronic control board is sold separately from the water inlet valve. The part number listed under your model number for the electronic control board is PS11748974. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

There is a plastic cover that snaps onto the water inlet valve ( part number wpw10217917), mine is cracked and is causing my ice maker to leak. Can you send me the part number to this cover? The model number of my ice machine is kuis15nrtb1.
For model number KUIS15NRTB1
Hi Sonya, Thank you for the question. The plastic housing or cover is not sold separately from the valve its self so the valve will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

I need to replace the inlet tubing that runs from water inlet valve to the back of the unit and where you insert the tube from the water source. It is a hard gray tubing that pops into the bottom of the inlet valve ...but i'm not sure which one it is in the diagram.
For model number KUIC15NLTS1
Hi Kandi,
Thank you for your question. I have listed that part in a link down below for you. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
My ice maker is not receiving enough water to make ice. If i fill the water trough it will make ice as normal. It just doesn't fill enough water by itself. Would that be the fill valve or is there a fill sensor?
For model number KUIC18NNTS2
Hi Bryan,
Thank you for your question. If the ice maker is not receiving enough water to make ice, you will need to check the water fill tubes, the water inlet valve, the water filter, the water pump assembly and the ice maker. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Valve needed replacement - ice had become very thin
Just install the new valve by reversing the process of removing the old valve. Only possible nance is with the quick release hose fittings - the collar is pushed down to release the hose. Also, be sure to FULLY reinsert the hose in the new valve. Best to twist the hose a bit when inserting so it goes through the o-ring inside the valve. If not fully inserted, it will leak.
