This is a dryer door hinge cap, also known as a bushing, which is a durable plastic cap that is installed on the door hinge and is used to allow your dryer door to operate smoothly when opening and closing. If the door for your dryer is not properly opening and closing, this cap needs to be replaced immediately. To replace this door hinge bushing, you will need a screwdriver to remove and disassemble the door for your dryer. This door hinge bushing is sold individually, but normally wears at the same rate as the others within your dryer door, so order as many as are needed.

Ridiculously over priced!
These are very small plastic parts! Probably cost 50 cents to make but cost $13 a piece.

The part that holds the hinge to the door (looks a little like two screws) both broke. They look stuck inside the hinge so I am assuming I need a new hinge, but do I need to buy one or two of the bolts that fasten the door to the hinge?
For model number MED4200BW0
Hello Maren,
Thanks for your question. We would advise buying the hinge along with the two hinge pin caps.
I hope this helps.
Diagram "door" item 17, caps, $12.70, is this for 1 cap or 2 (both).
For model number 88524
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. The cost is for one cap. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My dryer door is sagging. Could it be that the hinge pin caps are worn and need replacing rather than the hinge itself being the problem?
For model number YMED5500FC0
Hello Richard, Thank you for reaching out. The most common cause is worn or missing caps. Only way to know for sure is to check the caps to make sure they are all still there and not damaged. While checking the caps, you can also inspect the Hinge on the door and on the cabinet of the appliance. We hope this solves your problem!
