This authentic OEM drum belt is designed to fit with various models of dryers. The belt is a narrow strip of rubber that wraps around the drum and connects it to the dryer motor. This allows the drum to rotate smoothly and circulate warm air evenly through the drum. If the drum belt is faulty the drum will be unable to turn, you may hear unusual grinding, scraping a banging noise, and the belt itself may be frayed, cracked, or hanging loosely off the drum. If the belt is no longer able to support the drum, it should be replaced promptly to prevent further damage to the dryer and ensure it continues to run efficiently.

The repair was easy
The repair was easy. I followed step by step with a video I found on YouTube. The box my belt was shipped in was the perfect size to hold the drum in place while I got the belt on. Hardest part for me was cleaning all the years of lent and gunk out of the inside. Now, my dryer works like new.

The dryer is tumbling but it has a loud squeal to it.
For model number MEDC300BW0
Hello Robert for the question. There are a few parts we suggest checking for wear or damaged with a Squealing sound while tumbling. The most common are the Dryer Drum Support Rollers, Drum Support Roller Shafts, Rear Drum Felt Seal, Seal and Bearing and the Two-Piece Split Ring Bearing. These parts can wear over time and cause the noise you are hearing. We also have How to Videos for each of these parts on the site so you can do the repair yourself. We hope this helps!
The dryer is now having a hard time tumbling / turning when it is filled with a heaver load. Does this sound like the main drive belt is going bad. Lighter loads work fine.
For model number MGDC500VW0
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question. If you are overloading the dryer with wet clothes, this can cause both the belt and the rollers to wear out and eventually to become damaged or broken. Always follow the recommendations in your owner's manual for the proper use and care of dryer and use lighter dryer loads. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
Hello Movhael, Thank you for your inquiry. We show this belt as 92.5 inches in total length and 5/16 of an inch wide. We hope this helps.

Dryer only starts if I help start it. Could this be a stretched belt or a bad motor? Once it is running the dryer is pretty quiet.
For model number MEDC300XW0
Hello Richard, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest you check the drive motor, part number PS334304, to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Does this kit also have the rollers or pullys
For model number mgdc200xwok0
Hello Brad. Thank you for writing. This is not a Kit, it is just the individually belt. The Rollers and Pulley are sold separate. We hope this information helps!
Dried my son's shoes the dryer was on and heating when I came back 20mins later but was NOT spinning. Smelled like when you burn a belt on the vacuum in the room. But the dryer tumbler when spun by hand had tension. So what needs to be replaced any trouble shooting I can do?
For model number Medc300bw0
Hi Ravan,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer will not tumble, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the belt, the idler pulley assembly, the drive motor, the rollers, the shafts and the door switch. We have included a link from our website that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!
