The soap dispenser doesn't latch.Latch is broken.Would it be something i could fix if i had the part?
For model number WDT710PAYM0
Hi Marla,
Thank you for your inquiry. If the latch is broken on your detergent dispenser then you will need to replace the dispenser as individual parts for it are not available. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When i add rinse aid to the rinse aid part of the soap dispenser it leaks when i simply close the door. The soap dispenser was installed a year ago by a professional and probably hasn't worked since then - not sure of the timing - crazy busy household. Could it be that it was not properly installed?
For model number KUDS35FXSS1
Hi Jane,
Thank you for your question. It could be that, or it could be that the dispenser that he put in was defective in some way. I would suggest trying to reinstall it first. If that does not fix the issue you may need to get that part replaced again. Here is a general video that will show you how to do that installation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCBjkjAQRFM . I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Detergent door is not opening to release all of soap. Dishes also seem cloudy like maybe Jet dry it's not being dispensed. Do you think i need to replace the entire dispenser mechanism or is it just the pinned i need to work on
For model number Wdf530paym3
Hi Keely,
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes it does seem like it might be your dispenser that is the problem. However I would suggest testing the part with a multi-meter first. Just to see if it is in fact causing your issue. Good luck!

My new Dispenser looks to be and fits just like the one it is replacing except for one big problem. The electric connectors (plastic) will not mate from my dishwasher (Kenmore 665.13042K115) to the new Dispenser. I will be seeking the correct part or a refund. Thank you.

Dispenser was not dispensing
I first turned the power off to the dishwasher. I then used the star bit to loosen the screws on the sides and top. Note that the 4 top screws are longer than the side screws. Once the screws were loose I used a clamp on each side to hold the door cover in place. Once the screws were removed, I released the clamps, raised the door then lifted the outer cover off. I then peeled the insulation back from the top to expose the dispenser. I used a small socket to remove the screws for the dispenser. I released the plug with a small slotted screw driver. I then exchanged the dispenser with the new unit being careful to correctly reinstall the black cover over the top. I reinstalled the door cover, being careful to tuck the insulation back in place. I then installed the screws using the clamps to hold the door in place during the reinstall.

Perfect Instructions! Success!
Our old dispenser would no longer stay closed. I guess the plastic degrades over time. The installation went very smoothly, except that nothing indicated to remove the plastic guard on the electrical connection. Thankfully my wife noticed that it could be removed and then the connector matched perfectly! Thanks for making me look so good.
