My refrigerator light is flashing rapidly! All began when we replaced the water filter, which we’ve done many times before. Do I need to order a new light unit? Thank you so much.
For model number WRF555SDFZ05

Hello Ada, thank you for contacting us. First, it could be a sign that the LED light is going bad and needs to be replaced. Another possibility is that there is a loose connection somewhere in the wiring. It could also be caused by a problem with the power supply. Another reason could be that the water filter is not properly installed. You can check by simply turning off your refrigerator and checking to see if the water filter is in place. If it is not in place, try again. If it is in place but still not working, check to make sure that your refrigerator’s light switch assembly is functioning properly. If the light switch assembly is not working either, then there may be an issue with the LED light module, part number FIX12070396. This refrigerator does not use a traditional incandescent light bulb. It uses an LED light module, which is like a small control board. Flashing lights mean that your LED light board has failed. We hope this information is useful!

Lights are burned out. Found out that the bulb today is no longer tinted blue. Believe PS11747806 is correct bulb(small base). Is PS11749929 the corresponding "small base" socket ?

Lights failed despite new bulbs.
Used u-tube video to review steps in making repair. Wires shorter than described but after looking at replacement sockets difference was clear.

Both Upper Lights Burned Out Same Time
The holder is held in place with two screws. Once you have it unscrewed you can snap the old sockets out and replace them.
Ordered new sockets and presto, the lights work again.
They just snapped into the holder and the holder went up with two screws.
HINT: I did take a photo of the 4 electrical connectors AND labeled each one with a Sharpie 1, 2, 3, and 4 from left to right.
