Dryer not heating.
Checked all possible items with a multimeter. Of course the last item I checked was the one that did not show a closed circuit.. the timer. Ordered the part with one day shipping and it arrived the next day. Install took just a few minutes and it was fixed. Online videos are a great tool for diagnosing and repair. Do yourself a favor and do it yourself and save a lot of money.

Our Kenmore dryer has been running past the cycle. It will finish drying but then it continues down to the 'air fluff' cycle and then stays running when the dial is on the off position. We just replaced the heating element and thermal fuse as we were having issues with it not drying everything.

Hello, Thank you for your question. You will need to look into the timer itself that operates the cycle. It seems there is an issue with that, that is part# PS11749829. Please submit a new question if you have any follow ups. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Kenmore electric dryer: Initial problem of no heat @ normal setting, very low heat @ high setting. Removed back panel & exposed heating element-normal setting resulted in element "on"--switched to high & element went "off". Kept experimenting with switch & got no heat in any position. Both fans working & timer was moving with no heat. Timer or element problem?

Hello, i've been having problems with my dryer. At first, we noticed that as soon as we started the timer, the heating element would go on even though the door would be opened. Then the dryer couldn't start so we replaced the thermal fuse and the cycling thermostat, and it worked again. But a couple of days later, it stopped working again. So we cleaned the vents, replaced the fuse and it now seems ok... but for how long? but when i put my ear close to the timer, i can hear it spinning on and on, it never stops. so when it turns by itself and goes into auto-dry or timed-dry, the heating element would go on by itself even if the door's opened and it doesn't tumble. so do you guys think the problem's related to the timer? or could it be something about the door? thanks

Dryer won't start. Heating element working. Drum drive belt good. Had a problem of the timer dial not moving not counting down on the time. I rotated it back and forth multiple times and it worked. This time the dryer stopped about half way through the drying cycle.
