I’m getting error code f51. I already took the tub out and there is nothing in the bottom of washer. I can spin the washer by hand and it spins freely. Is this the part I need?
For model number Mvwb850yw1
PartSelect logo
Hi John, thank you for the question. F51 would indicate that the control board is not seeing the proper resistance on the motor circuit . You should check that you have proper voltage to the unit. It can also indicate that your rotor position sensor is either not registering or it is just bad. Remove the connector for the rotor position sensor and clean off any corrosion built up on the connector. After that try to run a cycle. If that does not work and you continue to get the same error, replace the rotor position sensor,PartSelect Number: PS11749664. Hope this helps!

My washer goes through almost complete cycle then when it goes to spin out it gives ul code try to rebalance load runs for a minute or two then does it again
For model number Mvw8725bwo
PartSelect logo
Hello Roger, thank you for your question. The UL means there is an Unbalanced load. I would check the suspension rods are in good condition. If all is well there, I would check the sensor part number WPW10178988. It helps to ensure the load of clothing stays balanced during the wash cycle. There is quite a bit of information about this part on our site. I hope this helps!

In the final spin cycle i get a ul code at 10 minutes. I have replaced the suspension rods, and checked the hub, but still get the code. Would the sensor be the problem? Also have a high pitch squeal and almost like a grinding sound intermittently when the tub begins to spin

Is there anyway to tell if the sensor is bad , or does one just have to spend the money and hope for the best on trial and error. My washer drains very slow but will not spin
For model number WTW6400SW3
PartSelect logo
Hello Raul, thank you for contacting us. With the washer draining slowly it sounds like an issue with the drain pump. Also if it is not spinning it could be an issue with the basket hubs, those would need to be replaced if worn out. Hope this helps!

I bought the part WPW10178988 from your store and installed it. Now the washer will spin and agitate but will not finish and gives me the error F51 again. Could I have put the part in wrong or could it be the control board? Thanks Chris
For model number WTW8540BW0
PartSelect logo
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. The F51 error code is letting you know that the main control board has detected either a bad rotor position sensor or there is a wiring problem in the lower wiring harness. If you think you have put the sensor in incorrectly, there is a video listed with the sensor on our website that you may reference on how to install the part. If it is not the sensor it is likely a wiring issue in the lower wiring harness. The main control board may cause this issue as well. Here are some steps to try to see if you can figure it out. Reset the washer by unplugging it or turning the breaker off for a few minutes then turn the power back on. This will reset the main control board by allowing all the capacitors in the control to drain. Start a new cycle and if the error returns, follow the information below. Remove the cover panel on the back of the console and make sure that P5 and P10 plug connectors are properly connected to the board. Check the wiring from the board to the lower harness where it plugs in to the rotor position sensor making sure that none of the wires are damaged. If wiring is fine, you will need to test the sensor, the wiring and the main control board with a multimeter to see which part is causing the issue. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may use as a general reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Great. How can one determine if there is a bad sensor, Part No. WPW10178988 or if there is a need for to replace the Stator, Part No. WPW10419333?
For model number MVWB880BW0
PartSelect logo
Hello Smith, Thank you for contacting us. Very sorry, there is no test for the sensor. At times you might be able to see damaged to the sensor if it is shorted out but not every time. You can try to put the appliance into Diagnostic Test Mode. The washing machine needs to be plugged in and in stand by mode with all indicators off. Choose any one button on the washer's console except Power, Start, or Stop. Press/Hold 3 Seconds - Release 3 Seconds - Press/Hold 3 Seconds - Release 3 Seconds - Press/Hold 3 Seconds. If the diagnostic test mode has been successfully entered, all of the indicator lights will glow for five seconds with 88 on the time display. (If it didn't work try #2 again One one thousand…Two one thousand…Three one thousand) If there are any saved fault codes they will be displayed. If there are no save fault codes all indicator lights will turn off for a moment then back on with 88 displayed and the automatic diagnostic test mode will begin in five seconds. If you are unable to enter the diagnostic test mode, press the power button and verify that the button you were trying to use operates properly to program the washer's cycle function. There may be something wrong with that function button. Find another button on the control that appears to work and try to enter the diagnostic mode with that button. You may also want to verify that the user interface has a good connection to the washing machine control board at the P11 terminal. Pressing the STOP or POWER button at any time to exit the washing machine's diagnostic mode. For the Stator, the motor windings are between 26-36 ohms between any 2 terminals. We hope this helps!

The washer shakes violently bouncing, hopping and banging during the spin cycle, even with no clothes in the cycle. The suspension rods, center bearings and shaft, drum hub, and shaft sensor have all be replaced. The washer does not give a ul code, but it seems that the drum has play in it. Could it be the bushing in the bottom of the drum or could the drum itself be out of balance? Thanks.

We have this model and stops after you start and during rinse cycle shows code f1? Is there parts to be replaced? Thank you.
For model number Kenmore Elite Oasis HE #110.27062604
PartSelect logo
Hello Linda, thank you for your question. The F1 error code indicates a problem with the water level pressure transducer signal on the machine control board. We would recommend checking the water level pressure hose and if that part is not kinked or cracked the main control board would have to be replaced which is PartSelect Number PS11746554. I hope this helps.

Show error code SD, it goes though cycle at 24 mins, then it pops up this code, and spins real slow, but want spin to dry clothes, pops up code SD..
For model number WTW7600XW0
PartSelect logo
Hi Ronnie, Thank you for your question. The SD or SUD error code on your appliance means that you have excessive suds built up. This happens when you are using too much detergent or using a non high efficiency detergent in a high efficiency washer. What your appliance is doing during this is putting more water into your washer so that it can break up all of the suds. This can make your cycle a lot longer than usual. If you change to a HE detergent and have started to use less and you still get the error, it is suggested that you run your appliance through a Clean Washer cycle so that it can clean up any detergent build up inside of the machine. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

F51 error code
Pretty easy! Just follow this link on how to fix the problem:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-Hg8rLGiKQ

The hardest part on fixing this is trying to move the washer out of its place so I can tilt it to see underneath the washer where the repair would be.
