Very easy repair.
It was a very easy repair, it only took about 10 minutes to complete. The new part works as expected and we now have a stove that all the burners work.

Heating element would not adjust. Would only use max heat or turn off
I replaced the infinity switch exactly as shown in the YouTube video provided by Part Select. Watch the video all the way through once before installing, and then have it open while you perform the repair. Watch a step, then pause it while you perform the step. Play the video to show you the next step, then pause while you complete the ne

Left front burner wouldn't modulate. Would get hot and wouldn't be able to lower the heat. It just stayed very hot. Sometimes it worked properly and sometimes it didn't.
Slid range out from the wall. That was the hardest part but wasn't that difficult with someone helping. Slid cardboard underneath to prevent scratching hardwood floor. Once range was pulled out I pulled the plug and removed the two parts of the back panel. There were two screws for lower panel and ten screws for the larger panel. Removed
... Read moretwo front screws for the on/off knob for infinite switch to release it. Pull the two connections. They needed to be pried off but wasn't difficult. Plugged in new infinite switch and screwed it back in from the front. Replaced panels and plugged in the range. Checked if switch worked which it did. Slid range back. There was a great u tube video that shows you exactly what to do.

Does infinite switch, part# ps11749394, is it the same part # for all 4 burners
For model number WFE330W0W0AB0
Hello Scott, thank you for your question. No, it is only for the left front element. The Infinite Control Switch for the 6" element is part number PS11740785 and the Infinite Control Switch for the 8" element is part number PS11740775. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

Is this the correct part for the 11-1/2" burner?
For model number MER7662WQ1
Hello Nathan,
Thanks for your question. The part number PS11749394 is for the left front burner, which we show is 12 inches. There is a radiant 11-1/2 inch burner element on the right front, and the switch for that is part number PS11749068.
I hope this helps.
My stove top cooks to fast no matter how low I put it too. Somebody told me it may be the switch, if its all the burners do I have to buy all 4 switches?
For model number WFE366LVS0
Hi Melanie, Thank you for the question. Yes, I would agrees it is the switch if the element still turns on but only has one temperature setting such as high. You can also verify the switches are defective by testing with a Multi Meter. Hope this helps!

Does the switch that control the thermostat ing on your burners inner change. My big burner in the front will not kick off thermostat ically. It stays on high, i do not use the back burner iyer was going to switch control knobs is that possible will it work
For model number WFE330W0AB0
Hello Scott, thank you for writing. Replacing the Control Knobs will not have any effect on this. You will want to replace either the Radiant Surface Element itself, part number PS11749656, or this associated Infinite Switch part number PS11749394 for your model. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

All the knobs on my Maytag gas cooktop are seized How do I free them up Thank you
For model number 8104P559-60
Hi Robbin, thank you for reaching out. Gently prise off the caps of the knobs, placing your thumb on the front and easing them off with a butter knife on either side. Remove any debris that may be causing the knobs to become jammed. Clean the knobs with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner to remove dirt and dust. Lubricate the knobs with a light oil, such as cooking oil or silicone spray. This can help to loosen any dirt and dust that may be causing the knobs to become jammed. We hope this is helpful!

Hi, My left front (dual burner) has been stayed on even switched to low. Can you please help and let me know which part might need a replacement? Thank you very much.
For model number YWEE760H0DS0
Hello Karen, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the left front infinite switch, part number PS11731368. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
My black Maytag range (model #YMER7651WB2) has 4 burners. The 2 in the back left and right are 6" burners and the temperature regulates fine for both. However, the front left 11 3/4" burner and the front right 9 3/4" burner only stay on high heat no matter what the dial setting. I think I have to replace infinite switch for 2 front burners but I'm not sure what part numbers I have to order.
Do I order one of each of the following?
PS11749394 Infinite Switch - Left Front - Single Element
PS11740783 Surface Burner Element Switch, Large Burner
For model number YMER7651WB2
Hello Angela, thank you for your question. Yes, you are correct. We hope this helps.
